One of my daughters is so anxious to learn new surahs, but she is not yet reading Arabic. I wanted her to be able to study on her own, so I made up this phonetical transliteration for her to use (along with listening to a Qaari). I have used American English phonograms to transliterate as opposed to traditional Roman transliteration which just translates the spelling of the word moreso than the sounds. Reading from Arabic is better, of course, but in shaa Allah when that ability is not yet there, we use transliteration.
